Until May of 2023 we had been operating food and beverage service at Seawall Park under Governor Lamont's Executive Order 7MM that allowed the extension of our food/beverage service permits to outdoor space.
People loved the idea of a casual open air gathering space by the seawall, and we hosted several successful markets, movie nights, and other family events at the park.
The executive order that allowed us to operate expired in May 2023, so we are applying for permits that would allow us to continue to operate Seawall Park as an independent outdoor dining and recreation facility.
Over our three years operating Seawall Park we have met with hundreds of residents who have expressed overwhelming support for our activities and plans. We have met with Stratford zoning officials to ensure our proposal is consistent with the Town of Stratford Plan of Conservation and Development, consistent with the area history and historical use of the lots, complementary to the area businesses, and beneficial to the community at large by encouraging use of the Lordship Seawall area as an open-air gathering space and outdoor recreation location.
Even though we have checked many of the boxes we still need your help to make Seawall Park a permanent open-air gathering space and outdoor recreation location for the community.
There are a few things that you can do to help
We would love to meet with you, listen to your concerns/issues, answer your questions, and explain what we are actually proposing at Seawall Park.
After meeting and listening to residents we've learned there is a lot of speculation on the social media sites about our intentions. To that end we have published a clarification page to clear up the misconceptions about what we are proposing. That link is here. LEARN MORE
If you’d like to learn more, representatives are onsite Saturdays from 10am-2pm to answer questions. Or emailing info@seawall4all.com is always great!
While we do have tremendous support for our proposal, we still need your help to make Seawall Park a permanent open-air gathering space and outdoor recreation location for the community.
On Wednesday June 28th there is a zoning meeting to review our plans for permanent zoning at Seawall Park. The Public comments are still open and you can still show support. The agenda is at this link : Zoning Meeting
